Get different sets of pallet slats to build separately the sofa table base and the chevron top! First of all here the base model has been prepared by assembling well the best looking pallet slats, base frames involves the 4 legs the frame for the chevron top and cross supports! Then by giving the top a chipboard underlayment (plywood can also be used) already resized chevron slats have been nailed over for a beautiful chevron top!
Rest of pallet wood or planks have been used to install the lower shelf for spare storage of items!
Pick the best lengths from disassembled pallets and build the primary frame for the bench out of them, including the legs and top frame!
Grab a set of equally thick pallet slats also to install the chevron top of the table, first add the chipboard underlay or plywood primary top which will make it all easy to install the planks in chevron style!
Fix half of the nail to each plank going to packed for a chevron top and after getting the plank to exact position just push the nail full inside the wood through using hand-hammer!
Level up the uneven surfaces of chevron wooden plank using power sander, which will make the top ready for a smooth hand gliding and also for a soft wooden touch!
Go with precise cutting tools and trim down the excess of edges of chevron slats, it would look fine at the end of the construction!
After you got the final robust wooden design, just apply the primer coats or varnish coats which would bring the wooden grains out so you will find the graceful sparkling surfaces at the end!
By installing cross beam supports to legs of this sofa table, you will also get a frame which can be filled solid using extra wooden slats for a lower shelf!
Let the varnish or primer coats, both will be amazing for additional paint or stain coats you are to apply later, dry for some time!
Here you choose a custom shade of stain to vary the final look of the table! Stain is available in multiple shades, like in light walnut, dark walnut, black, distressed grey, amazing chest, American oak and also in red mahogany shade!
Here this sofa table has been finished with stain for a choco black look, and dark walnut has shade of stain has been used to get the final decided appearance of the table!
After each coat you can leave the table to be well dried and then can go for the next coat, a rule to make the stain or paint perfectly settled down to wood grains!
